Graduation time can be super stressful, you need a license to practice and a job ASAP!

You’ve completed all your coursework, practicum and internship, so now what? I am sure your University, professors, and peers are helping a ton - Graduate students often do a lot of their LLC paperwork together after graduation. I’m finding that often the application packet, or disclosure form is filled out incorrectly, or submitted incorrectly due to the amount of stuff that is needed by LARA (License and Regulatory Affairs - Michigan). On top of applying for limited licensed professional counselor, you have to find the right supervisor for you (not just any ole’ supervisor) and making sure that this person who will guide you through the next 3,000 clinical working hours is credentialed to do so.

If you’re confused, not to worry, you’re not the only one.

The Michigan LPC Supervisor is scheduling the first ever New LLC (Limited Licensed Counselor) Help Session to provide some guidance and support in all you need to work through after graduation. During this help session you can expect to gain knowledge:

  • A timeline and guidance on when to begin your application process

  • Navigating the LARA LLC (Limited Licensed Counselor) application and application process

  • How to obtain the documents needed for your application

  • How to interview and ensure LLC supervisors you’re interested in working with are the right fit for you AND have the appropriate credentials to sign off on your supervised worked hours

  • The best method for keeping records of your supervision and supervised work experience

  • Time for Q/A
